Our MISSION is to improve grades, self-esteem, and subsequently the behavior of disadvantaged African American youth by broadening their perspective of Black history and culture. We hope to enrich young people lives by helping to enhance their link to their past.

FIRST AGENDA hopes to build LEADESHIP skills by encouraging students to read about historical leaders they can relate to. Many of these students will appreciate for the first time that Black history does not consist solely of slavery and struggle. We hope to decrease crime, drug use and murder by providing the youth a message with real substance.
